On the one hand warmly caressed by the languorous Indian Ocean and on the other coldly flanked by the frigid Atlantic, the Western Cape is by nature a study in contrasts. A veritable cauldron of cultures, The Mother City draws her heritage from numerous ingredients, including dashes of the Indonesian, Dutch, French, British, German, local Khoisan and Bantu tribes’ cultures.
